i have just picked up a nvidia shield, and use plex on it, i have a smart 4k tv but for some reason it only has a 100mb port and cant handle full 4k content over the network, shield with its 1gbp port is fine

Just been using VLC but keeping seeing plex thrown around. I will look into that one of these days.

Like many, I use VLC on the computer and Plex. If it's 4K content I have to use my own computer with VLC since my plex doesn't have the processing power.

MX Player on Android Box, never tried 4k though.
