All you guys calling out Schumacher... It's easy to be the best driver when your team has negotiated access to tyres no other team can use... Lauda has to be right up there, the way he worked at his craft and developed himself into a three time champion. BIG respect to Rosberg for quitting at the top too! It was gratifying to see Vettel throwing his metaphorical toys out his pram last year, if anyone DOESN'T deserve to be a four time champion it's him. As others have mentioned, Max is a really exciting prospect, but I've long been a fan of Ricciardo and his big ol' grin. Wouldn't it be great if they're both in a position to battle for the championship with the Mercs this year?
But of the current crop I think I'd have to go for Alonso. I didn't think too much of him in the early years, but seeing what he did with both the Ferrari and the McLaren has really underlined his ability. Controversial for a Brit not going for Hamilton!

Schumacher for me. Hard to say anything about the current crop as the way racing is done now hardly lets them go all out. Loved the days when refuelling was allowed and tyres actually allowed you to race all out.
