320kbps, excellent quality and reasonable size.

Starting to get some FLAC so I can finally experience what it's all about.

Yo, honestly I prefer 320, simply because the file size is usually half that of lossless, and the quality of lossless still depends on the speakers and sound system you are playing it from in the end.

I had a buddy who would only get lossless audio, but then burn it to a CD and play it through the shitty speakers in his dad's hand-me-down 1990's-something Jaguar. He would be able to fit half a fucking album on a CD and we would have to switch it over to "side B" by inserting the second CD. I was like, dude it's a fucking Nirvana album not Final Fantasy 7.

I normally get as much stuff in FLAC or ALAC as possible but always have 192Kbps VBR AAC for my phone - AAC has been proven to be better sound quality than MP3 at the same bitrate

320kbps from a CD source is always a good bet !

Flac is sometimes too complicated to play on my home theater system...I do notice the difference between Flac and MP3 but I don't think the file size is worth it in my case
