After wowing the world with her performance on the American Music Awards on Sunday, Ariana Grande spent the rest of the night collecting props from her friends, family and fans, as well as the New Artist of the Year award.

The singer, 20, channeled Motown soul for her performance
 of her Yours Truly track "Tattooed Heart," which was preceded by a short a cappella take on "The Way." The impressive vocal display earned her a standing ovation from Lady Gaga and hearty applause from Ciara.

After proving they had "The Way"
 on her single from earlier this year, Grande also got a head's up from duet partner Mac Miller. "Holy sh--. Congratulations @arianaGrande everybody loves you," he wrote.
