This explains your point of view
That's why most of the
seedbox companies do not allow public
trackers. Because on public
trackers, the majority of users download what they need and they don't even
seed (they delete the torrent right after they have finished it). Or they
seed with their slow home connections so their upload speed is terrible.
Having said that, we understand that the majority of those users, take advantage (speed/bandwidth) of the minority of the
seedbox users...
On the other hand, on private
trackers most users have seedboxes, so the "upload competition" is hard. Just try to download 1GB torrent on
SCC,
BMTV (and other similar
trackers) and you will see how hard it is to make
ratio 1 or bigger on this torrent!
So,
imo, unlimited traffic is pointless on private
trackers. Most of the users i know, don't even upload 3TB per month on their
trackers (since it's so hard to upload on good private
trackers) and 3TB is enough
buffer to use for the next 1 year anyway...
In conclusion:
- Users love fast seedboxes (to maintain a good
ratio as easy as possible), with many available plugins/tools, good support and stability. Most of users don't have the knowledge (and the time) to setup a dedicated server and deal with many possible problems they will have sooner or later. So they just buy a
seedbox from a good company like seedboxes.cc (and many other good companies of course) and they do the job.
- I really believe that using a
seedbox on public
trackers is a waste of money. You can just buy a HUGE HDD for your home PC, a VPN ($50 or so per year) to hide your real
IP and save A LOT of money. This way you also save time from the FTP transfer process (
seedbox to desktop).
- Last but not least, i don't recommend public
trackers anyway. They are way more risky than private
trackers (even while you are using a VPN since nobody knows how safe the VPN companies are) and they are full of shit as well. Too many viruses on public
trackers and of course most of public
trackers are very bad organized compared to the private
trackers.
Anyway... Everybody has a different point of view, so there is no need for fights guys
