Format Factory, I think. My parents have a WD Media Player box that's hooked up to an external HDD, so whenever I visit, I usually add to their box whatever series they asked me to download. Every now and then one of the downloaded files simply won't work, but since the WD player can't update its codecs like a computer could, I have to re-encode the file as often as it takes for it to be playable.

I hate converting videos. I know it's a perfectly reasonable topic of interest for a lot of people, but I've never been able to grok it myself, and with the rise of mobile phone & tablet players I don't see it getting any less complicated.
