i too use handbrake. relatively easy to use and has the ability to burn-in the subtitles.

I really like mediacoder, because this application have a lot of features, updated often, but I use handbrake on a daily basis, because it's totally free and fair enough for me.

I love using megui, has everything you need for making a quality encode.

Any Video Converter Ultimate or FileFactory. Both are great

no Converter for me, rebuild or re-encode only.
I watch only x264 and blu-ray

FormatFactory for me.
