Been using Any Video converter for few years and it fills all my needs :)

for me the best is MEGUI he works like handbrake but better....

Handbrake is a beast.

ConvertxToDvd, not sure if its the best but that's what i've been using for a couple of years now

Handbrake has been quite good for me

Don't really convert that often but Handbrake and Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate fits my needs when I need to convert something.
