VLC for a long time :)
Potplayer
good name & fast decode on PC
I use PotPlayer, with the appropriate codec pack. For me, VLC lacks one or 2 features that I really like, and it is a little old-fashioned. And the stock Microsoft video player is just crap.
I usually just stick to watching movies/shows online ^_^" i also use VLC
VLC the best
Mxplayer or vlc

Recently I start to use IINA for macOS.
Because alow to play movies with two different subtitles, great if you're learning a 2nd or 3rd language.
VLC is also good, but I start to have some problems watching movies inside of .rar files.
mpc-hc just recently switched to it from vlc
so far so good but i will defo look into more options as i want to be able to do hdr on my tv with my pc
Kodi on TV. Don't know about the underlying codecs of it.
MPV for movies. VLC when i'm in a hurry.
I typically use Microsoft Movies & TV with GOM Player, VLC Media Player, and RealPlayer on standby for the sake of redundancy.
Case in point, all four of the aforementioned media players had problems playing a 2160p film with a DTS HD-MA main track even after I downloaded the requisite codec recommended by GOM.
To that end, I'm just sourcing a 1080p version of said film until I can perform more troubleshooting.
100% Kodi to keep all my artwork and sorted movies into movie sets. second is VLC but something about Kodi that makes the picture look so much better than VLC
I use VLC Player and K-lite Codec Pack. Sometimes Media Player Classic.
i love potplayer.
but i don't get the madvr filter. it doesn't look that different to me than the default.
I use CoreELEC.
VLC nowadays
potplayer
I've gone full on Kodi
VLC app for Android TV
VLC, never gave a thought on codecs though
VLC & Plex :)
always vlc and some time MVC
I use VLC too
Kodi on Philips TV (Android) to play downloaded content from my NAS
VLC for general usage.
MPC-HC + K-lite Codec Pack when you need special codecs.
SMPlayer for very slow computers. (And activate allow frame drop).
MPC + K-Lite Codec Pack for years now
does the best job in my opinion.
With some little tweaks here and there, the app becomes perfect.
Jellyfin which is basically Open Source Plex
I use VLC all the time
Either Plex or MPV of late. :captain:
VLC, and codec needed!
Mpc-hc
Plex on tv and Ipad
Usedto use Kodi on Nvidia Shield but I'm now on Infuse/ATV4K
PotPlayer + Vlc Player
Plex + Roku on TV. VLC player on computers. I don't watch much on my phone or on tablets, but I'd probably try to use VLC or something open source if I did.
mpv Player The Best ;)
Everything gets played from my Plex and streamed.
Jellyfin 🔥
Loved plex but I really don't like the direction they are taking lately !
Pushing services no one asked for + locking important features (like transcoding) behind paywalls.
Thats why I switched to Jellyfin which is Open Source, that is a huge plus in my book !
