VLC is the best video player that has ever come out. the compatibility and codecs it comes with right out the box is unheard of. i haven't had any issues with video quality either. solid amount of customization too (rotate/adjust video size, audio playback delay, deinterlace, etc).

Kodi is the best! It does full loseless audio (TrueHD, DTS-HDMA) passthrough if you have a receiver. VLC is good if you dont care about audio passthrough
I have an account at two private trackers for HD and 3D movies. I download the images and burn them on Blu-ray discs (I own a burner) and then play them on SONY BD home theatre.
I use PLEX on my Roku Ultra and Amazon FireTV 4k, and I use VLC on my PC or tablet.
PowerDVD 15 on PC.

A mix of plex and vlc.
i use plex in kodi on a HTPC. it works like a charm in 4K :heart::elefant:

Plex on the smart TV in dlna, and vlc on pc.
I was using movie player classic.. 64bit...but it was giving me issues.
VLC is always the way to go.
