    i use plex in kodi on a HTPC. it works like a charm in 4K

    I was using movie player classic.. 64bit...but it was giving me issues.

    VLC is always the way to go.

    MPC-BE... it passes through the audio to my receiver without hassle. My rig (8700K @ 5.0 GHZ with 1080ti) is set up on an LG 65 inch OLED with dolby atmos 5.1.4 setup. I've tried Potplayer and a couple of others but always come back to the simplicity of MPC-BE.

    I've used VLC for years, can't say enough good about it

    But i've tried Plex as well recently, it's great for the metadatas
