Avira
my computer use trend
NOD32 is great, my favorite.
Mcafee All Time Best in Security but Heavy On Some PC`s
While I don't use it, I believe Kaspersky to be the best, however, I've never had any issues with the free Avast and am currently using AVG, which hasn't caused any noticeable problems as of yet.
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
I use Kaspersky
Eset ..have no idea if its the best though? have only tried a few ..
There's no such thing has a good anti-virus, I only trust on good user habits and alot of prevention! :D
But I do trust on a good firewall, I use Windows Firewall Control to improve Windows Firewall options and it does miracles!!!
I get Norton for free from Comcast...seems to work well. :dontknow:
For me Kaspersky is the best. I've used this for so many years and really satisfies me.
Eset nod32
Eset but the best free one is Avast I think
I voted for Avira and Kaspersky - Ive been following all AV testing sites for years and both of these top the charts for overall protection and being the lightest on the system, anyone who says "ahh but avira gets loads of false positives" oviously hasnt been keeping up with recent events, in the latest tests for the past year its only been getting one or two - BitDefender is also an excellent AV/IS but is a bit heavier on the system
best free = AVIRA
best paid = KASPERSKY
I would normally advise to install private firewall alongside Avira Free as this is a top firewall with HIPS (Host Intrusion Protection System) and is extremely light on the system, which comes 2nd to Comodo (but that is system resource heavy, also has load of alerts which can be confusing and annoying)
I use:
Avira (Free)
Private Firewall (free)
WinPatrol (free)
MalwareBytes Anti-Exploit (busy testing this out, also free)
this gives you solid protection all for nothing, ive never had issues with viruses etc
Not sure, maybe NOD, maybe KIS. With all its the same problem with malware for me
Nod32
Nod32 gets my vote.
i use a torrented version of avast serves me well and is usually pretty good at picking up packed virus's
Bitdefender Antivirus is also a good option
I use 360 total security, not to be confused with the other 360 from norton, this one is trhe number one antivirus in china and think its the best free antivirus, has alot of features and a great engine
You pay for anti-virus software?
Kaspersky
Kaspersky
Kaspersky :)
On mac : Sophos Anti-virus !
Definitely Kaspersky. Usually I'm not using antiviruses, but when i do, i use Kaspersky.
For me, no antivirus, the best solution is prevention :-)
Currently using AVG Free 0.0
I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials :p I know it may not be the best but it suits my needs. From time to time I run some free online scanners (eset, kaspersky) just to be sure, never found anything tho :)
I prefer Avast, mainly because I've never had a problem with it eating up CPU or memory or missing a virus. Then again, I'm not so sure about it not missing a virus. After all, if it did miss one, how would I know? :)
Now i am using AVIRA. Tried probably most top antivirus. Malware-bytes is very good tool to remove trojans and etc.
Security Essential is way sufficient.... The real problem is often between the chair and the keyboard.
Don't use one, but I think I might now. This poll has been helpful!
I use avast as it is free. never had any problems, used to use paid version of bitdefender.
I use Panda's free version. Not as many features as some of the paid versions out there but does what I need. Combine it with some good anti-malware tools and common sense when browsing the net and you should be just fine.
I've tried several of them but most of them slow down the computer. Now i only use Microsoft essentials.
The only anti virus I used is AVG
But I know how efficient Kaspersky is
Kaspersky all the way
Avira is my choice. The truth is i got lucky so far and only once had a serious virus problem, which avira sorted out relatively easily. So my opinion might not be quite definitive.
i would recomand Bitdefender...
my vote goes to avira
