Peter Hoare is penning the script for the buddy cop comedy to be shopped in Cannes by FilmNation and CAA.

Avengers: Endgame star Chris Hemsworth and Tiffany Haddish are set to star in Down Under Cover, a buddy cop action comedy to be shopped at Cannes.

The film, being penned by Peter Hoare, will see Hemsworth play a cop who goes undercover to solve a string of casino heists where a troupe of Australian male erotic dancers are suspected as culprits. Also investigating is a lone wolf detective, played by Haddish, who clashes with her crime-solving partner.

FilmNation is handling international sales, and CAA will shop for a domestic distribution partner. Hemsworth, repped by CAA, is also set to portray wrestling superstar Hulk Hogan in an upcoming biopic, and after Avengers: Endgame has another tentpole, Men in Black: International, set for a June 14 release.

Haddish, who is repped by UTA and Artists First, after her 2017 breakout in Girls Trip most recently voiced Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. She continues to star opposite Tracy Morgan on TBS' The Last O.G.

Her upcoming projects include Warner Bros.' 1970s mob drama The Kitchen, opposite Melissa McCarthy; Illumination's The Secret Life of Pets 2; and the Paramount comedy Limited Partners, opposite Rose Byrne and Salma Hayek.
