Apparently, NoS's first hack was due to rogue staff members attempting to sabotage nostream to take down competition from another site. Some people speculate those two staff members were spies from PTH.
One of the staff members from NoS confirmed that NoStream got hacked, but couldn't conclude who it was.

NoS SysOp, Sarek, is banned on PTH for a while now.

So PTH likes to hack other competitive trackers. That's really bad. They're in the same boat as IPT then.

This was said by a nostre.am former staff member in an irc (and confirmed by another former staff member): "NoStream was hacked, it is not coming back up as a tracker, no one knows who the attackers were."
