Solid State Drives
All of our non-LITE servers utilize SSD's (solid-state drives) instead of traditional hard drives, that is why the space offered for the money can be relatively low compared to some sites. SSD's have SIGNIFICANTLY higher throughput and random read/write speeds than normal hard disks. At any company offering seedbox services on standard hard drives at 1gbit, you can expect to see a maximum of 50MB/s download and 20-50MB/s upload (usually much lower), shared between all the users on the server. At Seed.ST the maximums are 112MB/s download and upload on 1gbit and 540MB/s download and upload on 10gbit.

Setup and Quotas
Setup is instant and automatic, after you subscribe via paypal when you click 'return to SysOp' it will take you to the login page for your ruTorrent. If you go over your quota your download speed will be limited to 1kb/s, your torrents will not be stopped and your upload will continue to run normally. Once you delete some files the download speed will be restored automatically.

i signed up a few days ago...

i got the 1gbps 50gb. however i'd pay more for 100gb hdd in a second.
the ssd is really awesome and create torrents in seconds.
fantastic idea about pay and get now.

overall so far 8/10

BUT... haven't used support yet.

but I also suggest that make the HDD 100Gb

i hooked on the 10gbit hdbits gave me 90 / 60 mb/s so pretty good but 50 gb is just not enough

Yeah, unfortunately there is no way to add additional space yet - I'm working on it.

However, additional space wouldn't be at any discount.
For example 100GB would be $80/mo on 10gbit.

The drive space is the part that is at a premium on these servers, if I could offer more I would. SSD prices need to come down before I can.

might have to get rid of the ssd then, you cant justify $80 for 100gb.

Having a non-SSD 10gbit server doesn't make any sense, unfortunately. Hard drives are always the bottleneck.

costumer service was pretty good, i contacted them by email and it was a fast replay, i got the 10GB one but the speeds are not as high as i was expecting them, it says ~210 but i have not even seen speeds more then 50 yet, i am not sure how that person got those kind of speeds with a 1GB connection,

a discount on TI users would be great, i bet you would get a lot of their business so

The connection is 10gbit, not 1gbit - the 210MB/s was in internal testing to another 10gbit server at the same datacenter. Though one user reported 197MB/s last week.

If you are only getting 50MB/s then it is your swarm, try getting on brand new torrents at larger torrent sites.

For those complaining about 50GB space not being enough, I am working on a Hybrid-SSD platform for our 1gbit servers. I am going to try to offer 400GB space @ about 25MB/s for the same price as the SSD 1gbit servers ($25/m, $7/w)

This won't be for a little while though.
