    Seedbox Recommendation?

I am thinking of getting a seedbox for myself...for a short period <= 3 months.

I have done some homework and got down to these two services:

My main objective is to build some buffer on certain trackers; I don't intend to use it to stream media etc.

The provider seedboxes.cc seems to be the forum's favorite. Can't really find any negative feedback against them. The only thing is that they are a bit too expensive for my pocket. On the other hand seedhost.eu seems to be affordable and the feedback also is mostly positive (not as great as seedboxes.cc). As far as affordability goes, their SB 8 plan seems very attractive to me.

So with seedhost.eu, do I get what I pay for? Any feedback is welcome. Also, feel free to recommend other services based on your own experience.

    Thanks,

    EDIT:

    A few €19.95 questions:

    1. The plan offers 600 GB storage and 2 TB / month upload; while the price sounds really attractive, I kind of feel that there is a red line. It lacks balance, if one considers that the data that you download from seedbox to local PC is going to be counted in that 2 TB. Even if I don't download all my torrents to local computer, my effective net seeding capacity would be in the range of 1.0 to 1.4 TB only. Does that sound correct?

    2. Is the speed (10 Gbps shared) good enough to seed on some of the most competitive trackers?

    3. Are there issues related to FTP/SFTP transfer? Like low speeds?

10 Gbps shared is more than enought for your needs. It depends now if your 2TB bandwith will be enought. I don't think you will have problems about FTP speed, unless you have a super good connection at home, and you want ultra top download speeds. If this is your case, maybe ask for a test file to download.

Yes, I downloaded the test file. Good enough to saturated my bandwidth. So no worries there.

In practice, how will the 20 gbps link of seedboxes.cc would compare with the 10 gbps of seedhost.eu? My guess is that both would give around 100-200 Mbps speed in most circumstances...right?

In practice yes @torfreak, but for seed 20 gbps full power, you have to have leechers with that capacity, or many torrents. Anyway, my fastest seedbox was 10gbps, and it was very good. But i'm a heavy user, so i right now use 1gbps but unlimited bandwith. I can't tell you if 20 gbps is good or not, but it seems to be.
Maybe a test account or refund policy it will help you.

this is NOT counted in your monthly bandwidth so keep that in mind when choosing.

Seedboxes.cc provide 20Gbps shared, seedhost.eu provide 10Gbps shared. Now, what happens is to reach these sort of speeds you need SSD drives. But then also, you will not hit the bandwidth upper limit. The thoretical and practical limits have a bit of difference. However, you may see speeds upto 400MBps in bursts. It will not be sustained over lengthy periods. More practically we will see speeds around 70-80 MBps.
