Thanks guys for the very useful info: )

Someone should make a guide on this, it would be very useful to members.
Maybe with both options as there seems to be more way than one to do it, I'm ripping a bunch of files at the moment and will let you know how I get on once I do it: )

Also a suggestion : Before you start uploading the files from your pc to the seedbox via FTP make sure that all the files and that folder are marked as read only. It helps sometimes in the 99% problem i told you about.
I'm not a windows user or a seebox user, but I read somewhere that the missing 1% can sometimes be the .sfv file or a hidden thumb file. In order to create the .sfv file the files have to be on your pc. Meaning you can't create it at home and FTP it with your files to the box. For some reason people upload these files and even contain pathnames from the user’s computer, like C:\Users\Your name\My Documents\Music.MP3. I think the .sfv or thumb file is a windows thing and seedbox servers use *nix. Someone correct me if I don't know what I'm talking about.

"Simple file verification (SFV) is a file format for storing CRC32 checksums of files to verify the integrity of files. SFV is used to verify that a file has not been corrupted, but does not otherwise verify its authenticity." Most of the time it's not just the .sfv but the .nfo what's missing, and that's why you have 99,9%

Maybe both of you are right but in my case it was a FLAC file. There were no sfv's or nfo files in the folder. The remaining part was a small part on one of the tracks. The FLAC was ripped by me and the base folder had no other files other than the FLAC's and the cover.

I almost forgot: if you download the torrent from some other site and download the files to the seedbox you can upload the same torrent file of the first tracker to the tracker you want to upload this torrent on. Once uploaded the tracker names are replaced by the passkey and you can redownload it and pass it on to the seedbox.

Tested and worked for me. Was uploading some stuff from SCC to what.cd.

That's good to know, so basically I can upload all my torrents I have on my client to my Seedbox and start to seed them if there an exact match on another tracker: )

I would never do this unless you completely removed the torrent from the first tracker. I understand why it would in theory, but this is breaking most tracker rules: Do not upload our torrents to other sites. I'm not an uploader, but I believe most full time uploaders who upload files to multiple sites create new torrent files for each site and with dissimilar piece sizes ie. 65kb, 256kb, 512kb, 1mb, and so on. If someone tries to cross seed your torrents with identical piece sizes, like with uTorrent it'll tell you that the torrent already exists, would you like to merge torrents? Saying yes is very bad and will get you banned. Never merge torrents from different tracker urls under one torrent instance.

I forgot to add that. If following that method first youll have to delete the torrent file first and then add the new torrent that you downloaded from the site you just uploaded it to. Thanks InTheAttic for pointing that out. I forgot to mention that in the previous post.

Ok so I uploaded the torrent to the tracker on utorrent on my Pc and it's seeding away nicely, I copied the torrent files through FTP to my Seedbox and put them in the downloads folder then I re-downloaded the torrent file from the tracker.

I added the torrent file in a stopped position to the Seedbox and right clicked on it to rehash it, now this is where this is where the problems start.
Instead of rehashing the torrent goes to a paused position and stays like that, if I add it to start seeding straight away then it just shows as downloading.
Is there something I'm doing wrong or did I miss a step?
I'm going crazy here trying to figure this out.

PS: If you don't here back from me it's because I smashed my Pc off the ground.

I finally fixed the problem, in my FTP client if I right click on a file I uploaded to the Seedbox through FTP then I click properties and have to change the ownership of the file.

    Looks some like this:

    R W X
    R W X
    R W X

I had to check the appropriate boxes to chagne the ownership of the file so the Seedbox would let me seed it: )
