Help uploading a torrent from Seedbox

Hello, I want to upload a torrent to a tracker using my Seedbox, I know how to do this on my Pc but never tried it on a Seedbox before.
If I try to create a torrent on my Seedbox webUI it only let's me search the directory inside the webUI and not the files on my Pc to create the torrent, so I have a couple of questions to ask.

1x can I create a torrent file on utorrent on my Pc and just add that to the Seedbox?

2x I know if I do the above step that my webUI will not be able to check the torrent as it can't search for the files on my Pc, so is there a way to do this?

3x do I need to create the torrent on my Pc and let it check 100% in utorrent before I can add the torrent to my Seedbox.

Anyone that's has experience uploading torrents to trackers or that knows of any useful guides on how to do this I would really appreciate your help, Thanks

I found this on a hungarian seedbox site:
    download a software called: maketorrent
download a torrent file from X site to your home PC, meanwhile you have to download the torrent data to your seedbox
So now you have your data on your seedbox, and only the torrent file on your PC. Open maketorrent and load the torrent file which you downloaded from X site, and rewrite the announce url to the Y site's announce url, where you want to upload the torrent.
On your seedbox you have to hash the torrent with your modified torrent file.
In case of torrent sites where you don't have your announce url only after you uploaded your torrent file with the standard url, like fux0r, you have to modify your torrent file to the standard url announce, then upload that file to the site, and download the torrent with your announce url in it from the site, and hash the torrent with that file.

I have had this problem. You can upload the folder to the base folder on the seedbox. Then create the torrent on utorrent and pass the torrent file to the seedbox. However some times the download shows incomplete and will get stuck at around 99%. Make torrent is the best way out if you have the files downloaded on the seedbox. If you haven't downloaded them on the seedbox then upload them to the base folder (download folder) of the seedbox using a FTP client and FTP details and use maketorrent to create the torrent file.

In both cases first check that the seedbox checks the torrent to 100%. Make sure it shows completed and then delete the torrent. After that upload it to the site then re download the torrent and pass it to the seedbox.

    Hope this helps.
    Good luck.

Thanks guys, but would it not be possible to create the torrent file on my Pc then FTP the folder containing the the files to the downloads folder on my Seedbox.
Then just add the torrent file I created on my Pc to the Seedbox?

Also I'm following some guides and it doesn't say anything about re-downloading the torrent, it just says to stop and Restart the torrent to start seeding.

what front end are you using?

Yes, you can create the torrent from your PC following the upload guide for your tracker. You can do it the way you just explained it. Make the torrent and upload it to the tracker. FTP the file folder to your box. Then yes, re-download the torrent from the tracker because most trackers embed your passkey into the torrent only when you download from the site. Load that into your box, point the target directory to the folder you just FTP'd, and I would start the torrent in a paused state. Then rehash and you should have 100% of the file. If so, start seeding! Good luck.

It is possible to create a torrent on your PC. Let's start from the beginning of the process. You downloaded something to your PC from X site (torernt or warez) you need to create your own torrent with your announce url (Y site) in it. Some torrent site states this announce url on their upload page, but some, like fux0r has a standard url (no long line of numbers and characters), and you have to upload the torrent file with that standard url, that's why you have to download it from the site. But if you plan to upload to a site where they state the full announce url, than you just have to create your torrent with that given announce url, and upload it to the torrent site.
Anyway the result is the same, you created your torrent file from the files on your PC, and uploaded it to a site. Now you just have to download that torrent file from the site where you uploaded it, and the client on your seedbox will hash it, and it will start seeding it.

The tracker would not register you as a leecher, but as a seeder right away, so no download will be counted.

Download should not be counted but remember to recheck it several times because once i uploaded a torrent file to a site in the same manner. I checked it and it was fine. Then i removed the torrent and downloaded the new torrent file from the site. This time when checking it got stuck at 99% and was showing me as a leecher. So i told you to be careful. If you could use maketorrent it would be better.

Also a suggestion : Before you start uploading the files from your pc to the seedbox via FTP make sure that all the files and that folder are marked as read only. It helps sometimes in the 99% problem i told you about.

    Good luck.
