i found some apprentice at freshon and some apprentice at tvtorrents too.

Thanks for the info. Sadly, The Box is no more -- they were completely amazing. From the looks of it, TV Chaos UK is (?) the new version of The Box, which is why I'm trying so hard to get an invite, if only for the "EastEnders." It is possible to get "Coronation Street" on Hulu, which is great, but no "EE."

I am looking for some Electronic Engineering books that are old / new. My Dad bought Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition and some programming books from Microsoft Press in paperback and some other excellent programming books during the time of 2005 to 2007. He wants to learn how to program and I want to learn how to program. I need some old basic programming books to get the basics to help me get the fundamentals of the new stuff. I hope that someone went through the same thing I am going through and can help with some advice to get me started. I also need to understand Windows XP service pack 1, service pack 2, and service pack 3. I had an old computer and motherboard loaded with Windows XP Pro during 2009. It was working great from 2002 to 2009 and the hard drive crashed. My parents bought a new hard drive, and were able to load all the stuff from the internet with all the security updates from Microsoft update server, but it hasn’t been on the net since 2009. What I was amazed with is all the KB’s and numbers that were placed in Windows directory in a uninstall folder with a listing in .txt note doc stating what was deleted and installed. What I need to do is get a utility to take the patches and updates in there installed the form and copy them and place them back in a cab form and save it to a CD with a GUI interface that I can create in VS2005 to re-install on the computer for the future, if it crashes again or another problem. The reason why I am doing it this way is Microsoft stopped support on Windows XP, so now I am going to have to create my own Windows XP service pack 1, 2 and 3 that will install without the internet. The originally SP1 does start the process, but needs to connect to a Microsoft server to finish the job. My parents told me that they had no excuses getting a hold of the service packs from Microsoft in 2003 and thru on CD from Microsoft. Now with the economy the way it is, we are all doing V8’s regularly. Hind sight is 20/20, we also had to deal with all the power surges from the power company and other computer issues and of course upgrades, because of technology advancements over the years. It was always stated we don’t have time now, but we will get that later, but you get the picture.

The last thing I need is a program that stress test computer hardware and shows you how much of it your using at peeks of watching video, playing game or other computer programs. The main reason for this software utility program is to understand computer components, so my dad can build better computer systems and I can build better programs for it. This way the CPU is stressed with my software creations as well as the memory. I also hate programs that are scanner and port hogs and or mostly set for their on schedule times to scan are connect to servers to download definitions, that seems to cause more problems than good protecting and security computers.
