Hi everyone! I'm new to private trackers and while i've been torrenting for a while with YIFY i heard thatprivate trackers have better quality torrents but i've wondered a few things:
1) Do you have to upload torrents to private trackers or can you just download them? I've read all the tutorials but still don't get what a ratio is and how that relates to uploads and downloads.
2) How do i get an invite to a tracker? It would be great if there were free invites to trackers, especially those focused on cinema.
3) What can get me kicked out of these?

Few tips, if you don't mind

• Read TI (this website) rules.
• Read Newbie's Guide. Best place to start and learn about this community and how it works.
• Use tagging system to get faster answers/reactions from users. Just type @ and username. For example @daredevil.
• And probably most important thing, learn how to create good proofs (more about that you should find out in newbie's guide).

I will try to answer your questions.
1) You dont need to upload new content but when you download a torrent u download it other people like you then you should seed it. Seeding and uploading different things if torrent is in your client an it is on, it is seeding but if no body download it you cant upload it. if somebody download same torrent then you can upload it. For uploading you have to keep your torrent seeding. In private tracker you downloaded 1gb torrent if you keep that torrent in seed in time it will upload and tracker record your upload and download and if your ratio(upload size/download size) go down you get ban. Of course also u can upload new content but it is not necessary.

2) You can get invites to tracker in here. You can apply giveaways in GA section of forum. Before apply read rules and Newbie's Guide. You can buy invites from @TheTrader you can send him message if you want to buy invites or you can check The OFFICIAL TorrentInvites.org Selling Store.

As i'm new to this site too i'm struggling to find a decent tracker, recently got in to DigitalCore but finding it hard to seed as there is not enough people leeching

But after reading your post regarding invites i may have to bite the bullet and buy an invite from @TheTrader probably the most easiest option right?

If you go for general trackers you'll find it hard to maintain ratio without seedbox or extremely fast internet connection. Many have a seedbox there, so maintaining a ratio is a nightmare for the casual user .

@chucknorris Yeah i'm looking at seedboxes currently deciding which ones.

Feral Hosting & Seedit4.me are looking good so far.

Yes you are right easiest way to get invite is buying from @TheTrader for seedboxes i already write my opinion in introduction thread so if you think those are the best for you then those are the best for you.
