1. Backup the folder %appdata%\utorrent (you can re-use this folder if you fail when downgrading your utorrent client). Normally, all settings data are put here, so you must backup the folder named utorrent in your roaming folder (%appdata%\utorrent -> the folder is uTorrent)
2. Uninstall your uTorrent client and Install utorrent2.2.1
3. Copy and replace old %appdata%\utorrent folder (your utorrent data folder). This will help you keep old settings and state of your torrents.
4. Stop all the torrents and start them again to see if there is anything wrong with your .dat files. If there is something wrong with your torrents, you can force-recheck then. If you want to turn back to the newer version of utorrent, you can still use your backup folder (%appdata%\utorrent).

I have not encountered any problems when downgrading my utorrent client
I recommend: utorrent 2.2.1 build 25302
Thanks yes I have done that and didn't require any thing to do,I didn't uninstall newer version instead just install older one which gave me automatic old data settings
