I'm not sure how the star things work. Can someone please explain how you go about getting invites on Bithumen?

I've searched the site and found some things, but couldn't really understand them. So any help here would be nice

You get points based on your upload amount.
Weekly top1000 2 points, top10.000 1 point.
Monthly top1 5 points, top10 4 points, top100 3 points, top1000 2 points, top20.000 1 point.

Then you can "bid"(1 single bid a day) with your points for the 30 available invites/day, you are allowed to bid 3 times/month.
