BitHQ seems to be down. Anyone know what happened?

Well I just got back. My monitor died the other day and I just replaced it. So I have no idea what happened. But I suspect we should be back shortly. Site owner told us he was going to keep it going while he made some changes on Donations so we could continue.
so every thing ok , do not worry , it comes back next hours :)
It is in Cinematiks forum
Oh, I'm not a member on Cinematik. If you are, it'd be wonderful if you could get an update from BadMacaw and post it here. I'm petrified. :(
Still down. Not a good sign :(
It will come back you guys so anxious! give it time ;)
BITHQ down and comes back again and again, don't worry will come back, this always happens ;)

Thanks for letting us know. If you happened to hear anything, please let us updated. Regards
One of the last times I visited the site there was a discussion going on about the owner wanting to hand the site off to someone and while people wanted to fund the site no one stepped up and said they'd take over it. Not sure if this has anything to do with anything.
Apparently BitHQ has been at risk of closing since around April/May 2017,it seems the site owner decided jump ship (he didn't want to be responsible for BitHQ anymore so he was leaving it all) however the site owner continued to pay the server bill in good faith until the admins could keep the site afloat.
However the admins sat back and let the site owner pay the server bill.
The admins did absolutely NOTHING to try to keep BitHQ alive.
If BitHQ does not come back by the beginning of October then i think the site will be dead.
Even if BitHQ will come back online my account (along will hundreds more) will be deleted due to "account inactivity" because the site has been offline so long.
The admins/mods should be ashamed of themselves they didn't even TRY to do ANYTHING to keep BitHQ alive, they relied solely on the site owner to pay the server bills. They kept BitHQ members completely in the dark as to what is happening due to them only posting on the cinematik forum.
If anyone on cinematik has any updates on BitHQ please post them.
Also FYI private trackers do not tolerate any invites that have been paid for,and they can get you instantly banned so you are just wasting your money.
This is bad. This was the one place for me to go to for untouch Blu Ray. Now I am homeless.
If this is true and it doesnt come back, where is everyone heading too (if they are not on other similar sites already that is)
I love the fact they had full DVDs and i dont know of any other like it and if there is then they are going to be invite only i suppose.
I don't know. BitHq been around for years and I've been a member for years and it was the only site I used as they provided me with everything for untouch Blu-Ray and DVD. Never had a back up site and didn't think I needed one. So I have no invite to anywhere and all my good ratio was from BitHq too. So homeless.
Also former bithq user looking for home but don't have invite to cinematic. Would love to have one to get fix for tv series.
Yup have joined a few sites but nothing touches Bithq would love to try cinematik if some would be so kind to send invite.
I have fantastically good ratio at Bithq so no worries there about seeding back.
Another former Bithq member here... Been waiting for the site to come back up but to no avail. Had a pretty good rating there.(
still down for me
For the love of God, i hope BitHQ comes back.
Joined back in 2009, spent a lifetime there, always been a good user, have over 12TB uploaded through the years.
At this time i guess i'm gonna be another homeless, and sadly i have no contact with the old members/uploaders. F#$!ing sad.
I think i'm gonna cry a while if the site dies. A lot of memories on that tracker.
Feels life a lifetime here as well. Going to miss it greatly as dont have other site contacts.
My heart is broken. The best site for untouched content. Will it ever come back?
Is there any other site like bithw. Has a good ratio there :-(
Any news? If bitHQ is closed is there any other tracker for untouched content?
Now a days any good HD tracker started posting UNTOUCHED contents,u can easily find them on any good general HD tracker
Some good alternatives mentioned here. But the versatility of BitHQ is hard to match.
BitHQ was a heaven for '80s and '90s horror films - some so rare that I can't find them on any other tracker... at all!
And also, there were really rare DVD9s, too.
The only tracker that comes to mind which has the same versatility or more is HDBits.org
And it is near impossible to get into HDBits... :(
Would love to get into HDBits or Cinematiks but impossible to get into is right
I am a long time member of Bithq, and will miss the site if it is indeed gone for good. Hopefully someone will find out and let those of us in the dark know one way or the other. In the meantime, I will look for other alternatives to get the untouched DVDs I have grown accustomed to getting from Bithq elsewhere.
An invite to either CHD or MTeam is not easy to obtain, but it's not very difficult at all.
Chdbits is not easy to get in because it limits the rank who can send out invites. For most of you, there's nothing very special inside chdbits except new untouched blurays, as you're almost not looking for DIYs except users who are Chinese-speaking, and CHD encodes are not so good. Besides, at the time a new movie bluray released on CHD, you can also find the same bluray release on MTeam, the only difference is that the release on Mteam has a different group name tag, as CHD do its worst on controlling new torrents uploaded, normal users can't upload torrents without going through Offer section...... and these days, the processing of Offer section is complained as extremely bad.
CHD VIP+ can send out invites, so in terms of purchases, it's not very hard to get an invite to CHD because investment in donation to CHD can bring back a lot of buyers, so surely there are sources for invites to CHD. However, I don't know whether CHD has re-limited the rank who can send out invites or not. If CHD limits that rank to Moderator+, let's forget CHD invites on any invite forum.
But Mteam is on the other side, it does not close its invite system up to VIP+, Users can send out invites (I don't mean rank User, just want to say not VIP+ nor Mod+). So MTeam is the better choice where you can get an invite easier. There are also many things to get from Mteam than from CHD, like porn for example. Mteam >> CHD.
While BitHQ is still down, you'd better choose Mteam rather than CHD thanks to the rarity of CHD invites and the differences in terms of content. However CHD is also a good bet, it may be very good in the future when the solid invite policy untightened; I see MTeam > CHD, but CHD is still considered as a potential tracker with many new BD releases every week. And in terms of new movies: along with Mteam, CHD is a good choice with many new BDs and DIYs.
P/S: it seems that there are still ways to get into CHD via purchases of NAS, many NAS sellers offer invites to trackers. Chinese salesmen are well-known for this kind of sales promotion :D
Thank you @closetspace. I'll check it out.
I think bithq is a memory... :-(
I can not connect on it since some weeks ago...
I do not know what happened.
Nobody on IRC, talks about it...
Sad :(
