Is apollo.rip down for everyone as i have not been able to get on for a few days ?
Same question.. following
Nope it's working for me. Try this site:
http://www.isitdownrightnow.com
They were having problems with the server for the past few days, so it’s been going up/down several times a day.
They announced today that the problem has been fixed.
Check the topic below:

Yeah, when Apollo's down, it's because of hw issues as always!
Still down...
down again. Anyone knows what happened?
fucking A. still down
Be nice if another tracker poached APL members of it is indeed the end.. but maybe wishful thinking
seems pretty dire this time around but they've made it back in the past, was on there from the start and it became a good tracker, my hope is they get it back up again, the members there were very helpful and friendly
Just found this thread since I was looking for updates. Thanks for posting the info. I hope the place returns soon with so many live shows coming up.. I really miss the years of what.cd. That site was so good.

New IRC server + progress! (2018-10-05 update)
As of today, our new Orpheus IRC is open to the public. This server runs on a more stable host than irc.apollo.rip and has a valid SSL certificate. We encourage everyone to join irc.orpheus.network, register their username with nickserv, and leave Apollo as soon as possible. Staff will deal with questions asked in irc.apollo.rip on a best-effort basis from this point on. The Apollo server will run until the next payment is due, some time around the 25th of October.
irc.orpheus.network
Port: +7000 for SSL (6667 for non-SSL)
Channel: #help. SSL connections are strongly recommended.
You will be happy to hear that there has been a lot of progress on the relaunch of our beloved site. As of now, Gazelle and Ocelot are running, and everything is locked down. Importing the old database, however, has proven more difficult than originally anticipated.
The backup was in the form of tab-separated text files, with no care taken to delimit anything. Any row with a field (or worse, serveral fields) containing multi-line text data, double quotes or tab characters causes the Mysql import to fail. Spine has been working relentlessly around the clock to parse the data, clean it up and import the tables without error. Everything is going well, if slowly, and no data will be lost. As this is taking much more time than we originally expected, we cannot even begin to test migrating and will have to extend our launch date a little bit.
We will be giving early access to some of the biggest uploaders of Apollo (from both before and after the backup date), the Interview team, Charlie team, FLS team and the Archive team. This early access is not meant to give them an (unfair) advantage, but to ensure that the majority of the torrents are seeded at the official launch, and that these uploaders get the chance to re-upload their own rips that have been lost due to the age of the backup. The duration of this early access will be approximately one week. Shorter if we don't discover any bugs, or longer if we encounter unforseen errors.
Staff will decide on who receive early access and who don't. We will contact you, please don't ask for it.
We will continue to post updates here as we make progress. See you on IRC!
Athena, Spine and the rest of the Orpheus crew.
So how do I sign up on the new Orpheus IRC or am I not reading this correctly? Thanks.
This is the latest update for previous members: http://torrentinvites.org/f31/orpheu...rocess-474628/
Oops sorry saw you already posted there... From my understanding if you are/were in this database you will be able to sign in with your old account details. If you don't fall under the database then you will need to prove your membership i.e invite email, account details or you can enter via referrals.
As for sending out invites I don't think that will be happening.
checked out the irc channel....looks like its just random chatter...im assuming when the site and tracker is up and running we will just be able to sign in with our apollo accounts?
Not necessarily.. they are returning as Orpheus and from a database backup in 2017, June or July I think. If you were a member prior to this then yes you can sign in with the account details. If you joined after this period then you will need to show your invite email, verify your account (details on how is unknown atm) or through a referral page that will be set up on PTP, BTN and GGn.

looks like i made it in just under the wire....i joined in late april
LATEST UPDATE AS OF A FEW DAYS AGO
Almost There! (2018-10-18 update)
Much progress has been made, and finally, the end is in sight! The old database has been restored, and existing torrents are now seeding (10,000 at last count). There are still a few things that need taking care of, such as the registration page, automatic transfer of ownership to the original uploaders, setting up the email system, and optimizing system performance, but none of these things should give us any major issues. FLS, Charlie Team, Interviewers and Archive Team members that are online on IRC have been given an account to the site, in order to get things going. If you are a member of these teams, especially the Archive Team, come to the IRC network as soon as possible and contact Spine or Athena for site access. Today, we have begun to provide early access to some of biggest uploaders, even those who joined after the backup cut-off date. Keep an eye on your IRC PMs if you think you might be one of these people, but please do not ask for access.
Though we make no promises, (this is a volunteer effort after all), the current ETA for opening the site is next Monday. All members that are in the database of June 2017 will be able to register using the details they remember (email address, username, password). If you sign up this way, information such as notifications, bookmarks, votes, collages from the old site will be transferred. Torrents identified in the backup as owned by you will be credited back to you. You will have to re-upload subsequent torrents. YADG will make the task easier, use it!
Where possible, do not alter the torrents in any way, so that other people who snatched them can begin to reseed and join the swarm. Please concentrate on your own torrents first. If you have lots of snatched torrents that are not yet on the site, give the original uploader a month or more to find the time to upload it themselves, then join the swarm.
If you are not in the site's database as of June 2017, you will be able to create an account in either of two ways:
If you are a member of 32P, BTN, EMP, GGN, MTV or PTP, you will be able to use your account on one of these sites to sign up with our automated referral system. This process is simple, and will take you about 3 minutes. If you were not a member of Apollo but you are a member of one of these sites, you are most welcome to join Orpheus.
If you are not a member of the above sites, but were a member of APL at the time it went down, you can supply as much information as possible in the registration page. If everything checks out, Staff will send an invitation link via email. If there is something that needs to be clarified, you will be requested via email to join IRC for an interview.
Note that the referral system does not allow prior account stats to be restored.
We still haven't heard anything from the Apollo sysops (O and W), and we now think that we will never will. This is a pity, since it also means we will never obtain the latest backup. Unless they decide to contact us and transfer the database, there is nothing we can do. We wish them all the best in any future endeavors.

Some bumps in the road (2018-10-31 update)
Unfortunately, we have been a bit too optimistic with our previous ETA. After opening up for early access, we discovered some hardware issues with one of our servers, which took the host a very long time to resolve. In addition to that, there were a few issues with both Ocelot and the EAC logchecker, that needed fixing. Because of that, the launch of the site has unfortunately been delayed. (since we also need to write a lot of code for account recovery)
We apologize for the delay, but we'd rather open with a site that is working, than with one that's buggy. As soon as the site is up, this page will change to the login page. There will be an option for account recovery on there.
