I would say late 60's / early 70's. Loads of awesome musicians out there, changing the history of music in an era of experimentation. Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin just to name a few.

Mine points somehow more exact date: 1977-1982 disco, boogie, jazz-funk genres.

70s-80s-90s all day

90s...the blunt renaissance

70s for classic rock. 90s for pop and hip hop. 80s for rock and disco. Late nineties for electronic and good old trance. And early 2000 for psytrance.

After that its all the same music hasnt evolved much. Artist dont wanna get creative.
