For me its FLAC for archiving. HE-AAC V2 for my iPhone. I've loaded about 1k song that eats about 2GB of my storage in the past. Pretty good quality for the size.

320 sometimes flac
I always take FLAC if it's available. Otherwise, I settle for 320
256kbps m4a. So I could bring along more songs with me
FLAC for my classic rock collection.
320kbps for the rest.
SACD and (good) Vinyl recordings offering the best sound for PC -- for portable music, I'd say apple AAC does a pretty good job.
FLAC whenever I can use it
320kbps is ideal but I don't think I can tell much of a difference if the music is worse quality.
