The Fall Out Boy bassist and Goldfinger musician/producer have fuelled rumours of a new project on social media

Pete Wentz and John Feldmann have hinted at an upcoming collaboration.

The Fall Out Boy bassist was pictured in a post on the Goldfinger frontman’s Instagram, which went up in the early hours of this morning (August 20).

The post – which Feldmann captioned “My friend @petewentz and I making sweet sweet music” – sees the pair laughing outside a garage in the first photo, with the following image capturing the two seemingly at work in the studio.

Feldmann and Wentz have previously worked together on The Faim’s debut single ‘Saints Of The Sinners’, which they both co-wrote. Some reports have linked Feldmann with Fall Out Boy’s upcoming EP ‘Lake Effect Kid’ (although a July post from Wentz suggests that that particular project has long been completed), but it is still unclear at this time what the pair are currently working on.

Wentz will return to action with Fall Out Boy this weekend (August 24-26), with the band set to headline Reading & Leeds.

Speaking about the slot, Wentz told NME back in April: “It’s just been a cool, real build for us over the years. It just means so much more, because we’ve done some of the other slots – we’re pretty psyched.”
