Hailey Baldwin came to the defense of Normani after an Instagram user commented about their disapproval of the singer dressing up as Cher for Halloween.

On Friday (Nov. 1), Normani posted several photos of her impressive Halloween costume, an homage to a photograph taken for Cher's 1979 album, Prisoner. In the picture, the 23-year-old "Motivation" singer sits half naked on a glowing light, donning a flashy crystal wig and delicate pink fairy wings.

Normani's costume drew criticism from an Instagram user who commented that the former Fifth Harmony singer shouldn't be portraying a white artist. Baldwin caught wind of the negative comment and quickly came to the singer's defense.

“There is absolutely nothing wrong with Normani dressing up as Cher for Halloween,” the model commented in response. “She can do it because she wants to, she is doing much better than you, you’re behind a computer complaining about a costume. Stop being racist and get out of her page if you don’t like it.”
