Ozzy Osbourne postpones all 2019 tour dates after suffering fall
"Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now"
Ozzy Osbourne has postponed all of his planned tour dates until next year after suffering a fall.
The star was recently forced to postpone dates in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan after he was hospitalised with pneumonia.
Now, Osbourne has sustained an injury while recovering from the illness. According to a statement posted to his official Facebook page, the musician fell at his Los Angeles home and aggravated injuries from his 2003 ATV accident. He required surgery, which took place last month, and will remain under doctor’s care in LA until he recovers.
“I can’t believe I have to reschedule more tour dates,” said Osbourne in a statement. “Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now. I’m grateful for the love and support I’m getting from my family, my band, friends and fans, it’s really what’s keeping me going. Just know that I am getting better every day…I will fully recover…I will finish my tour…I will be back!”
The affected shows will be rescheduled starting from February 2020 and original tickets will be honoured for the new dates. Any festival appearances that were scheduled for 2019 will not be rescheduled.
Osbourne has confirmed new dates for his planned North American tour, except for Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl, which will take place on an unconfirmed date in July 2020. The UK and European dates will be announced “in the coming weeks.”
