Sen. Bernie Sanders is hoping hip-hop fans will pull through for the 2020 presidential election. Before making a campaign speech at Morehouse College in Atlanta on Thursday, the 78-year-old politician picked an all-too-familiar hype song to walk out to: the Billboard Hot 100 hit "Pick Up the Phone" by Travis Scott and Young Thug, featuring Quavo.

After he was introduced as "the next president of the United States of America" in front of the crowd at the historically black college and university, Sanders was greeted by thunderous applause and the rowdy tune echoing from the speakers. Students repetitively cheered "Bernie!" as the song died down.

"Let me thank DJ Era for the music," Sanders started his long list of thanks ahead of his campaign speech.

Once the half-hour rally wrapped up, the music picked back up and "Pick Up the Phone" soundtracked Sanders' sign-off, personal greetings with the students and a group photo.
