I wanna know what you look for (mean hardware & network specifications, price etc) before buying seedbox.

May be soon with one of my friend I will be able to provide you some good & large seedboxes with affordable prices.

Thanks for your inputs. It will be more useful if you specify HDD Space (in Gb) & Price in (Euro). I'm trying to find out solution for large storage box with affordable price (that's why need to know price of members can afford). For speed - Seedboxes.cc is best

Storage box are meant to keep torrents for long seeding, for example where you earn credit for seeding. I add all new torrent to seedboxes.cc first so that I can get max speed for gain Upload, once leeching get low or nil I transfer it to storage box to keep it seed longer to earn credits.

Let make it little simple -
How much you like to pay for - 1 TB HDD, 1 Gbps duplex Network (mean 1 Gbps speed for up & down).

I use Seedbox Company (760 GB storage, 1Gbps Up and down, unlimited traffic) - 20 pounds per month

I also use Feral Hosting (1 TB storage, 10 Gbps up and down, unlimited traffic) - 10 pounds per month


Thinking I'm going to drop Seedbox Company as I really don't need 2 and Feral Hosting seems to be the best and cheapest solution

first of all thanks for making this tread and i hope you make nice service at last
second most of us looking for cheap price with large storage with unlimited traffic
and above all nice service means that the seedbox doesn't crash more than one
i know it is the hardest equation regarding seedboxs and if you are asking about
how much we can pay for 1 TB HDD, 1 Gbps with unlimited traffic i think 12 Euro
will be good price regarding the matter of competition

For me speed it's the first important things, of corse HDD it' important to...
I use many years Seedhost service, very good service and speeds.
Now I have Red Dragon Box from seeboxes.cc and ssd450 from seedhost.eu

In my opinion bandwtih then speed and hdd space. Price of course must be competitive

CPU: Xeon E3 (minimum)
Ram: 16GB (minimum)
HDD: 2TB HDD minimum for storage, 2x512GB at raid0 for racing.
Network: 500Mbps-1Gbps FD for storaage, 2x1Gbps FD for racing (minimum).
Price: Depends

Xeon E3, 16GB, 2TB HDD, 500Gbps-1Gbps (from Leaseweb or OVH). About €60 (for dedicated). Same specs on shared server depends on number of users, more then 2 users €12, 2 users max €25.

Xeon E5, 16GB, 2x512GB, 2x1Gbps FD (from good data center (not Leaseweb) ) €80-€125 of course depending on data center and has to be dedicated.

(Of course this is based on Excellent customer support.)

Those specs on dedicated server €15-€20 depending on data center.
Those specs on shared server with more than 2 users €3-€8.
Those specs on shared server with only 2 users €10-€12.

(Dedicated server assuming its bare bone)

Also seedboxes.cc has great speed but with the data cap it's really not worth using for hardcore users.
