Server into Seedbox (installation help)
Didn't know where to post this, therefore i apologies if it is in the wrong section.
I have an dedicated server with this configuration:
Processor: AMD Opteron™ 4274
Speed: 8 Cores x 2,5 GHz (3,5 Turbo Core)
Memory: 16 GB DDR3 ECC
HDD: 1.500 GB (2 x 1.500 SATA)
RAID: Software RAID 1
Running OS: Debian 7 Minimalsystem (64 Bit)
I'm wondering if i can turn it into seedbox.
Need to mention that the user i have is not root and i can't access root user...i don't know why.
If any one can help me...please do it..
)
Thanks a lot.

Try sudo, for example "sudo ifconfig" It can ask you for your password but if it return yousome information, you can turn your server into seedbox.

I can connect to the server with putty (ssh) but the user they gave me is not root...and i don't have full access...some things if i try to install they say me access deny..

If you rented the server they should've given you root access. Ask the support team for this.
This server is too good for just a seedbox. You could host a big website/tracker on it. Just my opinion.
