I used the seedbox from scratch script to install everything needed on my debian box yesterday.

Everything working fine except for FTP, I can't reach it at all. I've been messing around in SSH trying to fix it all day with no luck.

It's probably something really obvious and I'm being dumb as I'm not exactly a linux expert.

Anyway, does a kind/friendly Debian expert (who is not gonna mess my box up or install anything malicious!) want to have a go at fixing it for me? Some $ via paypal will come your way.

It's probably something simple...

It's just the easiest way as I'm getting bored of trying to sort it out myself aka I'm being lazy.

It's a new install so I guess if someone screws it up anymore than it is already screwed up I can just request an OS reload from my host.

Also, I have a few other things I want done to the server and if someone can fix this I will send quite a few $$$ to that same person for additional services (LOL @ how that sounds!)

@zachemya same. after i ran updates, i had the same issue, vsftpd stopped working. but i just use ftp via sftp anyways, much more secure.
but im going to blow away my current setup tonite and start again from scracth. gonna to install plex server and use it as well
