I absolutely love rtorrent/rutorrent and would love to only use them but at least I have not managed to have a decent proxy (socks5) setting work on rtorrent. With deluge, it's as easy as it gets. So I use deluge when proxy is needed/ rtorrent for private trackers that in fact prefer "stable" ip connections.

I found deluge very easy to set up, and with the remote torrent addr plugin, makes it a breeze to add torrents from wherever I am, phone, work, traveling over my vpn to my seed box.
