I can install windows as the operating system if you want like windows 2008 server or 2012 server or even windows 7 or 8 all with Remote Desktop

Yes that will work but if all your doing is downloading and uploading as a regular user then I would say this server is over kill for you. How ever if you are planing on doing some racing or major uploading to sites then yea this would be a good server. I actually have the FS-48T server myself. You can raid0 it in your ovh control manager just after you get your server go in and re install your OS and select your partitions (little drunk but think this is the correct word lol ).

I use my server for multiple things seedbox, running scripts, ftp to ftp transfers etc...
