I'd say track your overall ratio based on what the tracker you're using says, not the download client, just to be safe. But individual downloads you'll track their ratio in the download client to make sure you don't break the tracker rules.

Downloading and seeding from a seedbox is almost the same as from your pc; add the torrent file to the download client on the seedbox, the seedbox downloads it, the file starts seeding from the seedbox once it finishes downloading. Then to get the files from the seedbox you'll use an FTP client (like Filezilla) to download the files to your PC, while still leaving them on the seedbox to seed. The reason seedboxes are so good is because many have extremely fast connections (the one I use has a 20gbps connection), and obviously you're not using your home IP. Using a seedbox doesn't guarantee a 1+ ratio, but yes it is much easier to get a good ratio using it. You still have to be smart with downloading from trackers so you don't mess up your ratio downloading large files with no leechers. I personally will catch Freeleech files right as they're posted and have a lot of leechers and will easily hit 1+ ratio on that download almost immediately.
