WHAT IS A SEEDBOX ?

A seedbox is a private dedicated server used for the uploading and downloading of digital files.[1] Seedboxes generally make use of the BitTorrent protocol for uploading and downloading, although they have also been used on the eDonkey2000 network. Seedboxes are usually connected to a high speed network, often with a throughput of 100 Mbit/s or more. Some providers are testing and offering 10GBit shared servers, while others are developing other systems that will allow users to scale their needs on the fly. Files are downloaded from the torrent site and its users, and from there they can be downloaded at high speeds to a user's personal computer via the HTTP, FTP, SFTP, or rsync protocols. This allows for anonymity as well as usually not worrying about ratio.

Seedboxes can run on most major operating systems (Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X). More expensive seedboxes may provide VNC connection, or remote desktop protocol on some Windows-based seedboxes, allowing many popular clients to be run remotely. Other seedboxes are special purpose and run a variety of torrent specific software including web interfaces of popular clients like Transmission, rTorrent and μTorrent, as well as the TorrentFlux web interface clients.

Seedboxes on high speed networks are typically able to download large files within minutes, provided that the swarm can actually handle such a high upload bandwidth. Seedboxes generally have download and upload speeds of 100 megabits per second. This means that a 1 GB file can finish downloading in under 2 minutes. That same 1 gigabyte file can be uploaded to other users in the same amount of time, creating a 1:1 upload:download ratio for that individual file. The ability of a seedbox to transfer files so quickly is a big attraction seedboxes hold within the P2P and BitTorrent communities.

Because of the mentioned high speeds, seedboxes tend to be popular inside private torrent trackers, where maintaining an upload/download ratio above 1 can be very important.

Seedboxes are also used to circumvent speed throttling by ISPs or evade national laws such as the HADOPI law in France.

I will have a few days of SeedUnlimited 160G Disk, and 1000 Mbps for 29.95 and is a disappointment.
Upload and download are not of the 10 mbs

I can't say that I'm having the same problems. I'm averaging 8 to 9 MB/s upload.

Decent enough FTP speed for me but the uploads never really got going.

i have purchased from them very good indeed the best seedbox provider imho

hello i don't know much bt u can't download @ 10mbps or more if the remote speed is capsble of sending 5 mbps..

in simple words if u'll downloading a file from a server and it is hosted on a 50 mbps server then no matter what u can't download it faster than 5mbps on a 1GBps , 100mbps or on above 50mbps server

btw area also effects download and upload speeds fr eg if ur 100mbps (dedi) server is hosted in europe and i'm downloading a file from ur dedi to my dedi box (in us) then i won't get 10mbps download..

edit : fyi their 1gbps bw is coming from softlayer they have mentioned this and abt 95% ppl are using seedboxes from ovh resellers. softlayer servers are located in us and ovh is a france based company.u'll get slow speeds if the movie or whatever ur downloading is being seeded from an ovh based seedbox. i think this will clear every doubt abt the company.i'm hosted wt them and they provide top notch support.
