@CPU Very True.
Upgrading percent is more than windows 8 or 7 is very likely. Few year back when Vista was rolled out may stick to XP due to Vista heavy resources usage. Peoples even aspect-ed same with 7 but after a while on knowing that 7 is lighter than Vista people started using it (till 7 windows basic functionality was as same as 98 except GUI & addons).
Windows 8 totally different GUI was major issue for all user, specially 'Start button' missing is monster for many that why MS place it back in 8.1 (but snatch it powers lol)
During Windows 10 promotions MS major USP was interface will be back to Windows 7 with enhanced 'Start button' functionality. Users who all struggling with 8 put there device to upgrades.
If I'm not wrong than Windows 10 upgrade percentage had been much higher, if fact of MS spying had been not reported. No one like to watched.
For me Windows 7 is best!
Thats all I have to say. Thanks for share!
