Currently, everything is either played through mpv or I stream the content to my TV using PLEX via Chromecast.

I use Kodi on my android TV unit and stream everything from the server.

I mainly play my videos on plex but when in on my main pc itc VLC

Mainly I use the Emby web player (because I run emby on my NAS), I run Kodi on my Pi (that is connected to Emby) and I use vlc to play local files.

I love the Emby software, and vlc has never let me down either!

"Build in Player" in my Samsung Blue Ray or my Sparc Golden Media Satellite Receiver - depends on Movie Format like .avi, .mtk, etc.
