As of today, I'm using Lubuntu 18.04 on my laptop and server, and I'm really happy with it, the start-up and shutdown times are really speedy and overall it's quite stable.

Previous to this I was using Linux Mint 18.3 and for the most part it was stable, but I couldn't update the kernel as when I tried it completely broke the graphics on my laptop, I remember it took me about a week to narrow down the issue to it being the kernel as I kept re-installing the OS until I found where the issue was, when I went to ask for help on how to file a bug report for it as I hasn't filed one before no one volunteered to help guide me, eventually LM 19 was released so I upgraded to that, crikey what an experience that was, for the week I was using it, it was so unstable, apps kept crashing, the system would lockup without warning causing me to loose work.

I got so fed-up I completely jumped ship to Lubuntu's new release and wow what a difference, apart from PCManFM crashing twice it's been very stable, when it crashed I was presented with a dialogue box asking me if I wanted to submit a bug report, which I did, and after a couple days or so an update came though and it's been stable since, overall I'm really happy with it.
