I used to use Media Player classic, but they stopped updating it, so i'm back to VLC, but it's not ideal
mpc hc is the best choice in my opinion
VLC is my go-to

I use jellyfin now to stream on my tv its opensource, plex was calling home too often for my liking :deal:
Plex Media Server and Plex Client on my TV, tablet, phone and Roku.
Said a million times already, but plugging VIDEO-TS into Handbrake then shooting em up to PLEX will make everything a lot easier for massive libraries.
