The king is dead. Long live the king. With Nvidia's new RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti due out next month and the RTX 2070 coming in October, the prices on the current-gen 10-series cards are already dropping like a rock. And we expect even more discounts as we move closer to launch.

Zotac initiated the wave of price cuts, but prices have bounced back. Earlier in the week, Amazon had the Zotac GTX 1080 Ti card for just $526 (from $679). However, now the card is back at its $679 price tag. However, it's still on sale if you take into account that just a few weeks ago you would've paid $850 to $1,000 for a GTX 1080 Ti card.

If you want a GTX 1080, Amazon has the Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti Gaming OC 11G for $679.99 ($190 off). Alternatively, you can get the Zotac GTX 1070 Mini 8GB Compact Card for $399.99 ($90 off).
