There are dozens and dozens of VPN providers and you will get dozens of people saying their particular one is the best. Stick to a VPN provider that does not log. Has been in business for awhile. Check around this and other forums for people's reviews on how their VPN provider performs. Some might be good for browsing. Or better for gaming. Or good all around. Some might not be torrent friendly, etc.

I use PIA. I have been mostly satisfied with its reliability and performance. Not the fastest..not the slowest. Be prepared to run into services like netflix that don't like VPNs. Make sure to configure your VPN correctly! I can't say that enough.

Do you need a VPN? Do you like to be spied on, categorized, and filed away in some relational database somewhere (which will happen anyway, but the VPN encryption at least makes it so they can't see your traffic).
