    In the strictest sense of the term 'virus', there are none at the moment in the mac world. There are of course trojans, worms, hacks and hijacks but they operate a bit differently to your conventional virus. You will find that a lot of the reported 'viruses' are in fact trojans.

    I tried alot of Antivirus Software and in my opinion eset nod is the most reliable software for virus protection and performance

    I'm using Nod32...it's not the best i think, had some spywire, but it1s cheap and light on system resources.

    Unfortunately for me my computer came with Norton, but I'd recommend Kaspersky. I had it on my previous computer, worked great!

    Maybe Nod 32 is not the best one, but is very reliable, I've tried it before :-)

    Avast is the best free antivirus available for users. As for paid/subscription-based antivirus software available, I've used BitDefender and Kaspersky so far. Preferred BitDefender. I always pair any antivirus available with MalwareBytes.
