Sony Xperia Z3 image leak shows comparison with Galaxy Note 3

We’ve seen a model number, and AnTuTu benchmark score that seem to indicate a fourth-generation Sony Xperia Z smartphone is on the way, but a new photo showing a Sony device next to Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 smartphone indicates that Sony’s soon-to-be-announced Xperia Z3 may be a little larger than last year’s 5.2-inch Xperia Z2 model.
With the exception of the “Sony” name at the top of the smartphone, and the Xperia Blog name responsible for the leaked, we’ve few clues as to its size or any other information about the Sony Xperia Z3. What we do know at this point is that the Xperia Z3 will carry the Snapdragon 801 (clocked at 2.5Ghz) and that on-screen graphics will see an improvement in the new Xperia model.

The Xperia Z3 will, as all other Xperia Z smartphones, be waterproof and feature at least an IP55/58 water and dust resistance rating. The Xperia Z2 features a 20MP camera, so the Z3 should’ve a larger-megapixel camera than the current Z2. Sony’s Xperia Z2 was noted by company DxOMarks for its photo quality.
Sony recently released the Xperia C3, what Sony dubs “the ultimate selfie smartphone,” featuring a 5MP front-facing camera and an 8MP rear-facing camera, not to mention 8GB of internal memory storage with a microSD card for an additional 32GB of memory storage.
Sony’s Xperia Z3 is likely to run Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box, considering that Google will likely hold onto Android L until October when it releases the Nexus 6.
