The developers of the Final Fantasy series will be introducing a new game this month, as Square Enix has revealed that it will be debuting a game called Outriders at its E3 conference.

Square Enix is promising to have one of the most exciting conferences at this year's E3 event. The long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake is going to be making an appearance after almost four years of silence, with many fans expecting a release date for the game. The other major title that is due to make an appearance at Square Enix's E3 conference is Marvel's Avengers (formerly known as The Avengers Project), which will finally be shown in more detail, as almost no official information has been revealed about the game since its announcement in 2017.

Square Enix will be announcing at least one new IP at E3 2019, as the company has created a Twitter account for a game called Outriders, which has a cover image and a brief teaser trailer that is promising more information at the company's E3 conference. Square Enix had previously announced that it would be aggressively investing in new IPs in the future and Outriders seems to be one of those new franchises.

The Outriders Twitter page was created on May 1, 2019, and has been receiving regular text updates that have taken the form of mission logs. The messages seem to be outlining the story for Outriders, which involves a spaceship known as the Flores leaving Earth with a crew that is asleep in cryopods and is on a journey to a planet called Enoch, which is the name of the son of Cain from the Bible. The Flores eventually loses contact with Earth and the teaser shows an individual waking up from suspended animation. It seems that the Flores is due to be dismantled and turned into a colony on Enoch. The person in the teaser is likely Captain Simon B. Archan, who is the person sending the messages shown in the tweets. The name "Outriders" seems to refer to some kind of military or scouting operation. Captain Archan refers to an army on board the Flores that is hostile to a group known as the Outriders, who seem to be led by a person named Captain Tanner.

It's difficult to say what kind of game Outriders will be from the information that has been given on Twitter, but it's safe to say that it will be a science fiction game that will likely use the planet Enoch as its setting. The Square Enix fans won't have long to wait to find out more, as the company's E3 press conference is only a week away. Square Enix's E3 press conference will be taking place on Monday, June 10 at 21:00 ET & 18:00 PT.
