Marvel's Midnight Suns is currently one of the most highly anticipated games carrying the Marvel Comics brand. After being delayed to the second half of 2022, a trailer shown off for Midnight Suns got many fans excited, announcing a number of fan favorite characters that will be in this tactical card-based RPG. This includes a number of iconic heroes such as Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch, along with various villains including Venom, Sabretooth, and even the Incredible Hulk. The latest trailer released is focused on one of the playable heroes, Captain America.

Steve Rogers, better known by his hero name Captain America, is not only the First Avenger, but also arguably one of the most iconic Marvel heroes of all time. Since the villainous Hydra faction has awakened the Big Bad of Midnight Suns Lilith, Captain America joins the band of heroes to stop their evil plot. His gameplay was highlighted in a recent trailer, which is focused on having both good offense and defense.

The initial trailer shows Captain America using his shield on a number of Marvel's Midnight Suns' enemies, where he can punch any number of demonic threats that oppose him. It also showcases his costumed appearance that trades out his traditional blue, red, and white with the Midnight Suns' black and gold. A further breakdown of his gameplay is discussed in a separate video showcase with Christopher Odd.

In this five-minute Midnight Suns showcase, Captain America's gameplay involves almost exclusively using his iconic shield. This includes throwing it, using it as a battering ram, and blocking enemy attacks of course. With each attack, it generates block. This is then further enhanced with Captain America being able to use a taunt ability, forcing enemies to attack him instead, drawing aggro.

Midnight Suns' social system was briefly discussed as well, where the Hunter player character can build a relationship with Captain America. The further the relationship develops, Captain America can start with some block at the start of a battle. As this will be a series of videos, fans can expect more showcases of the other playable superheroes of Midnight Suns in the future as well.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns releases October 7 for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
