FromSoftware's games are consistently known for being some of the most brutal titles in the modern era of gaming, but the PlayStation 5 Demon's Souls remake allows players to kick back somewhat with its brand new photo mode. Remake developer Bluepoint avoided making changes to the experience that would alter FromSoftware's gameplay in a significant way, and this new Demon's Souls photo mode seems to have been the perfect addition under those parameters. Ever since the game released, players have been posting their unique screenshots online, which range from humorous to gorgeous.
Despite the relative gameplay usefulness of Demon's Souls' camera feature, players have been enjoying the photo mode because of how well the feature was implemented. Players achieve full control over the camera and can adjust the shot's focus, filters, and even toggle between different poses and facial expressions. It gives players lots of freedom to express themselves in the world of Boletaria, and it's a treat for everyone else to witness the creativity of the community.
Compiled below are some posts from the Demon's Souls Reddit, which currently features loads of the creative shots. These images show off the graphical fidelity of the PS5 and of the Demon's Souls remake, while also showcasing some of the subtle somberness of the Souls series. Have a look at some of the amazing pictures the Demon's Souls community was able to snag.

Both the Nexus and the Maiden in Black symbolize a temporary moment of rest and peace in an otherwise tense experience, but they're also both shrouded in mystery. While she hardly speaks of her insight about the world, this screenshot does an excellent job showing the somber side of her character. The Maiden mentions in Demon's Souls' ending that she's grateful the madness is finally over, and the sympathetic look of shoni89's avatar seals this melancholy mood.
