Incredible Demon's Souls Photos Show The Beauty Of Boletaria

    download.jpg

FromSoftware's games are consistently known for being some of the most brutal titles in the modern era of gaming, but the PlayStation 5 Demon's Souls remake allows players to kick back somewhat with its brand new photo mode. Remake developer Bluepoint avoided making changes to the experience that would alter FromSoftware's gameplay in a significant way, and this new Demon's Souls photo mode seems to have been the perfect addition under those parameters. Ever since the game released, players have been posting their unique screenshots online, which range from humorous to gorgeous.

Despite the relative gameplay usefulness of Demon's Souls' camera feature, players have been enjoying the photo mode because of how well the feature was implemented. Players achieve full control over the camera and can adjust the shot's focus, filters, and even toggle between different poses and facial expressions. It gives players lots of freedom to express themselves in the world of Boletaria, and it's a treat for everyone else to witness the creativity of the community.

Compiled below are some posts from the Demon's Souls Reddit, which currently features loads of the creative shots. These images show off the graphical fidelity of the PS5 and of the Demon's Souls remake, while also showcasing some of the subtle somberness of the Souls series. Have a look at some of the amazing pictures the Demon's Souls community was able to snag.

Demon's Souls Photo Mode: Two Can Play At That

Magic may be overpowered in Demon's Souls' PvP and campaign, but it looks outright awesome in the remake. The Storm King was also quite the epic battle, so it makes sense that many players went here to take compelling photos. Aphex_Tim did an amazing job combining the spectacle of the two to make a fantastic screenshot of one of the most memorable boss encounters in Demon's Souls.

Demon's Souls Photo Mode: Desperately Trying To Hit A Crystal Lizard

    download (2).jpg

Anyone who has played through Demon's Souls will be familiar with the rush one gets after spotting a crystal lizard. Reinforcement Stones can be difficult to come by, depending on what particular type a player is be looking for, so every Demon's Souls fan will be able to relate to NoZuulOnlyZuul's image. It's a humorous and relatable depiction of a mechanic that has been seen throughout the entirety of the Souls series.

Demon's Souls Photo Mode: A Moment With The Maiden

    download (3).jpg

Both the Nexus and the Maiden in Black symbolize a temporary moment of rest and peace in an otherwise tense experience, but they're also both shrouded in mystery. While she hardly speaks of her insight about the world, this screenshot does an excellent job showing the somber side of her character. The Maiden mentions in Demon's Souls' ending that she's grateful the madness is finally over, and the sympathetic look of shoni89's avatar seals this melancholy mood.

Demon's Souls Photo Mode: A View Of Stonefang

    download (4).jpg

When reaching the very top of the Stonefang tunnels in 2-1, players can get a great view of the valleys and mountains surrounding them. Using the photo mode's more advanced settings, huntedsoul00 managed to create a breathtaking piece that contrasts the shadows of their character and the ground with the beautiful scenery in the distance.

Demon's Souls Photo Mode: Where It All Started

    download (5).jpg

The tutorial area is remembered by most as the area where Demon's Souls' first impossible boss encounter awaits. The Vanguard Demon isn't the hardest boss in the game, but it's a dangerous trap for most new players and can only be challenged once before being sent to the Nexus. However, 6Dem0nBag managed to defeat the boss and took a photo showcasing the dynamic and stunning lighting effects found in the demon's lair.

The Demon's Souls remake added lots of new features that improve the game without trampling on the original experience. The new photo mode might not be a bombastic addition or as mysterious as Demon's Souls' hidden door in 1-3, but to many players, it is a great addition that allows them to share and express their creativity with the world. Demon's Souls was a great game even back on the PS3, but as evidenced by the beauty of these photos, the game is even better on the PS5.
