Introduced by none other than John Wick, himself, CD Projekt Red's hotly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 made a suprise appearance at Xbox's E3 2019 press conference with an all-new cinematic trailer.
The last footage the world's seen of Cyberpunk 2077 was a live stream of the breathtaking demo shown off at 2018's E3 and Gamescom, making this cinematic look at the game a massive deal. Showing off the upcoming game's beautiful cutscenes and deep, hard-hitting approach to storytelling, the Xbox E3 trailer for Cyberpunk gives credence to the rumor that the game has already come a long way since the last time viewers laid eyes upon it.
Following a dark chapter for the male version of the game's protagonist, known only as V, the cinematic trailer sees V and their equally modified partner pulling off a major job to make themselves and their shady benefactor rich. They succeed in getting what they came for (presumably by force), but it seems that violence was a player choice made during the mission, and the consequences are their partner's death and the ire of the shady man they were working for.
