In a gamer’s perfect world, they are paid for gaming or at the very least, work in the gaming industry, being paid to work with a hobby that they love. But for some people, they are lucky enough to find a way to make money gaming, without a resume.

According to a Polygon article covering the newest episode of Game Talk Live, Smedley not only revealed that SOE’S post- apocalyptic MMO H1Z1 would have Player Studio support but that a user recently crossed the threshold in lifetime revenue by earning $100k , from making and selling in-game items.

With SOE Player Studio, users are able to download files with geometric figures for actual in-game objects, then with their own software for photo editing (for example Photoshop), make brand new items. Once their item is approved by SOE, they’ll put it in the marketplace to be sold for MMOs, like Planetside 2 and EverQuest, with the user earning 40 percent of their sales.
